Among the type of activities that the DRCC has undertaken is the National Town Meeting on Demand Response, a major gathering of demand response policy makers and stakeholders held in Washington DC earlier this year. The DRCC is also sponsoring a series of Webinars on demand response issues and topics that will begin later this month. In addition to its U.S. focus, the DRCC has been designated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as the official Expert Body to represent the U.S. in the Demand Response Project of the International Energy Agency (IEA). "We are pleased to have these companies join the DRCC," said Dan Delurey, Executive Director of the DRCC. "They have all been recognized for their energy efficiency programs over the years and now we look forward to their contributions to the DRCC as it works to foster the growth of demand response. Also, their membership will broaden the geographic breadth of the membership and this will help us have a better exchange of ideas and information on demand response programs offered in different markets and regions."
