Amera Resources Corporation and IMA Exploration Inc.: Drilling on Mogote Now Underway.

Amera Resources Corporation (TSX Venture: AMS) is pleased to announce that a Phase I, 2100 meter, diamond drill program has commenced on the Mogote copper-gold project, located in San Juan Province, NW Argentina. Drilling will focus on the Filo Este porphyry target where a recent trenching exposed over 500 meters of continuous copper-gold mineralization. Mogote is within a region characterized by some of the world's largest copper-gold porphyry deposits, and is located 11 kilometers east of Noranda/Metallica's El Morro copper-gold discovery (inferred resources of 7.4 million ounces gold, 6.2 billion pounds copper).

The Mogote property hosts a classic Marricunga-style porphyry copper gold system in addition to high sulphidation epithermal-style gold-silver mineralization. The current phase of drilling will test the Filo Este porphyry target to a depth of 300 to 500 metres. At Filo Este strong chargeability anomalies, extending to the depth limit of the survey, coincident with a large magnetic high, measuring 1500 x 800 metres, are coextensive with continuous surface copper and gold geochemistry. Assay results from Trench 1, completed in late 2003, averaged 0.33 g/t gold, 0.196% copper and 2.3 g/t silver over 510 metres; including 180 metres averaging 0.44 g/t gold, 0.218% copper and 1.6 g/t silver.

In addition to the drill program, regional surface work will also be conducted on Filo Central and other targets to advance them to the drill-ready stage. This work will consist of detailed mapping, additional step-out talus sampling and road/trench construction.

The Mogote property demonstrates many attributes of a classic Andean-type copper-gold porphyry system and is located within a region characterized by some of the world's largest examples of copper-gold porphyry deposits and high sulphidation epithermal gold-silver deposits. This prolific region is considered the southern extension of the Maricunga Gold Belt as well as the geologic bridge to the El Indio Gold Belt to the south. The property is situated 70 kilometres north of Barrick's large Pascua/Veladero gold discoveries (resources of 38 million ounces gold and 750 million ounces silver) and 11 kilometres east of Noranda/Metallica's El Morro copper-gold discovery. Placer Dome's 23 million ounce Cerro Casale gold-copper discovery is located 50 km to the north.

Amera has an option to acquire a 51-per-cent undivided interest in the Mogote project from IMA Exploration Inc. To exercise the option, Amera must issue a total of 1.65 million common shares to the company and incur a total of US$1.25-million in exploration and development expenditures in stages over a five year period.

The field exploration program is being supervised by Project Geologist Steven K. Jones, M.Sc. Assays for the drilling and surface program will be performed by ALS Chemex Laboratories, Mendoza, Argentina. ALS Chemex is an internationally recognized assay service provider. Lindsay Bottomer, P.Geo., is Amera's Qualified Person for the Mogote property in compliance with National Instrument 43-101.
