:AMH), a leading producer of life insurance and annuity products, today announced that Thomas C. Godlasky, president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

, will be presenting at Lehman Brothers' 2005 Small Cap Conference at 8:40 a.m. PST on November 16, 2005. Mr. Godlasky will become chairman and chief executive officer on December 29, 2005 with the retirement of Roger K. Brooks.

The presentation will include an overview of AmerUs Group, its strategies, operations and financial results and goals. AmerUs Group recently reaffirmed its full year 2005 operating earnings guidance of $4.45 to $4.57 per diluted share. The company stated it expects 2005 operating earnings to be in the middle of its guidance range.
