), a leading producer of life insurance and annuity products, announced today that it has priced a public offering of $300 million 5.95% Senior Notes due 2015. The offering is expected to close on August 5, 2005 and will result in net proceeds Net Proceeds

The amount received after all costs are deducted from the sale of a piece of property or security.

In the case of an investor selling a security, net proceeds represent the proceeds from the sale minus any trading costs (i.e. commissions).
