, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1998--With the addition of the Fast SCSI A SCSI interface that transfers at 10 Mbytes/sec rather than 5 Mbytes/sec. The maximum cable length is 9.8 feet. See SCSI.

(hardware) Fast SCSI - A variant on the SCSI-2 bus. It uses the same 8-bit bus as the original SCSI-1 but runs at up to 10MB/s - double the speed of SCSI-1.

Performance and Affordability

Amedia has three models, Fast SCSI Elite, Ultra SCSI Deluxe, and Ultra Wide SCSI Supreme, and the speed ranges are 10, 20, and 40 MB/sec. respectively. All models have bus mastering, on-board BIOS (for bootable devices), auto-termination, auto-configuration, internal & external connectors, and Plug & Play compatibility.

These products work with most major operating systems. They are also backedby a full 5-yearwarranty (the best in the industry), so you can be assured of quality without compromise.

Street prices for two of the models should be below $100, opening the power of PCI SCSI to a wider range of users. All models are available now.
