platform for customer care and billing. This benchmark, performed in conjunction with Hewlett Packard (HP) and Oracle, was conducted at HP's performance center in Cupertino, California and reflects the long-standing cooperation between Amdocs and HP in the area of customer care and billing.

The results of this benchmark test, which was performed at the request of several of Amdocs' large customers, unequivocally demonstrated the unlimited scalability of the Ensemble system. In this benchmark, Amdocs' Ensemble platform, even when running on a single HP V-class server using HP-UX HP's version of Unix that runs on its 9000 family. It is based on SVID and incorporates features from BSD Unix along with several HP innovations.

The working environment for the Ensemble benchmark was carefully built in order to reflect a typical telecom production environment, including a typical mix of corporate accounts, business and residential subscribers.

In addition to single-server configurations, the benchmark also confirmed the capabilities of Amdocs' methodology and system architecture in implementing solutions for multiple server environments. Such a solution further enhances the system's proven scalability and ability to support many times the number of subscribers supported in the benchmark.
