Amdahl and DMR Consulting Announce Application Service Provider Alliance with Oracle Corporation; Alliance will provide ASP Business Services for Oracle E-Business Suite.

Amdahl Corporation and its subsidiary, DMR Consulting, today announced a new Application Service Provider (ASP) alliance with Oracle Corporation that will make the competitive benefits of the Oracle E-Business Suite, available online to all companies, from startups to Fortune 500 multinationals.

The agreement leverages both Amdahl and DMR Consulting's recently announced Extended Enterprise (EE) Platform and covers the entire suite of Oracle enterprise software including manufacturing, human resources, supply chain management, customer relationship management (CRM), and financial systems. The EE Platform represents a major evolution of the current electronic marketplace. Utilizing an ASP delivery mechanism, the EE platform will deliver value in the form of business services, enabling companies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase revenues while maximizing integration at the critical B2B level.

Amdahl's expertise in management of mission critical applications, DMR Consulting's skill in design and implementation of enterprise applications, and Oracle's leading suite of integrated enterprise applications add up to the most comprehensive ASP solution available in the market today.

Under the terms of the agreement, Amdahl becomes an Oracle Authorized Applications Provider (OAAP). As an OAAP, Amdahl will provide an array of enhanced hosting and application integration services for the Oracle E-Business Suite in both the US and Europe for virtually any operating environment including MVS(TM), Solaris(TM), and Windows NT(TM). As a result, companies will be able to bring new, mission critical applications online quickly and inexpensively.
