New TDMF/Express Software Saves Customers Time and Money

With Optimum Performance and No Application Downtime

Amdahl Global Solutions, a division of Amdahl Corporation, today announced the availability of it's TDMF/Express(TM) Version 1.3.0 via download off the Web (http://www.tdmfexpress.com). Based on the industry leading TDMF(TM) storage management software, TDMF/Express is an internet distributed storage management software solution that allows customers to license a TDMF solution on a per number of volumes basis. TDMF/Express is the only vendor independent product of its kind that provides customers with a complete, cost-effective solution for moving data without disruptions or application downtime. Worldwide customers, such as British Energy, Farmers Group Insurance, and British Airways are already employing TDMF solution to meet their data management challenges.

The TDMF/Express product complements the Amdahl TDMF storage management software solution. Customers can now estimate and license a predetermined number of migration volumes established in a usage counter. When the usage counter is exhausted, the software becomes unusable until additional volumes are licensed via the Web. Usage credits are available for upgrade to a fully licensed version of TDMF/Express. Also, built into the Web site is a TDMF/Express trial option that enables customers to use the software free for 30 days to migrate up to 16 volumes of data. In addition, Amdahl offers computer-based training for all TDMF/Express customers, as well as the ability to trial, purchase and receive the software completely through the Web.
