: AMCRY)today announced that its subsidiary, Containers Packaging has signed an agreement to sell the Leigh-Mardon security printing operations to American Banknote Corporation.

The agreement is conditional on a number of matters which the parties expect to successfully address, enabling completion of the transaction by the end of May this year. The terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Amcor operates the largest security printing business in Australia. There are 17 locations and about 900 employees in Australia and New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. . The business is the market leader in Australia in the production of checks, security cards, identification cards, scratch lottery tickets and EFTPOS EFTPOS - Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sale  terminals. Annual turnover is about A$120 million.

The American Banknote group is the largest private sector security printer in North America and also in Brazil.
