The new program replaces and expands the existing US$115 million commercial paper facility which matures in December 1996 and now allows for multi-currency issues of commercial paper and, for the first time, medium-term notes into the Asian and European markets.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia is the arranger and the dealers on the program are Commonwealth Bank of Australia, BA Asia Limited and BT Asia Limited.

Amcor has been an issuer in the Hong Kong capital market since 1987 and the enlarged program, together with existing commercial paper facilities in Australia and the United States, will provide valuable sources of short and medium term funding.
