Ambra Royalty announces Marathon test results: 5.56 oz./ton of gold.

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1996--Publicly traded Ambra Royalty Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMBY) has announced the initial findings in exploration of its Marathon, Marathon I and II claims.

Located in south-central Vancouver Island, the Marathon claims consist of 800 hectares of easily accessed property. Rock formations within this region are known to host several different types of ore deposits: massive sulfides such as those currently being mined by Westmin, and numerous mesothermal gold deposits, similar to deposits at Sicker Volcanic Belt.

Within the Marathon claims sits the Paula Vein. Fire assays of the sulfide-bearing rock in this vein indicate concentration of 5.56 oz./ton of gold, and in pure quartz veinlets in the same outcrop 0.43 oz./ton of gold. Analysis of the sulfide-bearing rock by acid digestion and the inductively coupled plasma method show concentrations of silver at 10.6 oz./ton, with 0.31% copper.

Independent mineral analysis was confirmed by Dr. James J. Irwin. Irwin has been employed at the Geological Research Department of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and the Department of Physics at the University of California-Berkley. He has also acted as a consultant to such prestigious firms as Consolidated Logan Mines Ltd., Canquest Resource Corp. and APC Ventures Inc.

Ambra plans an exploration program consisting of diamond drilling of the Paula Vein to determine the extent of the deposit and to search for other mineral-laden areas on its properties.

With the new relocation of its corporate offices to Phoenix, Ambra Royalty Inc. will continue its mineral exploration and real estate development program, and maintain a goal of creating "value added" properties, then seeking joint-venture partners for the development of mineral and real estate opportunities.
