Ambient Corporation and Investment Funds Sign Financial Agreement; Money to be used to Expand Operations of Ambient's Power-line Telecommunications Technology.

Ambient Corporation (OTC BB:ABTG) announced today that JDS Asset Management LLC and JDS Capital Management Inc., technology oriented investment firms, have on behalf of their respective managed funds, invested in Ambient. The money will be used principally to finance the activities of Ambient's subsidiary, PLT Solutions Inc.

PLT technology facilitates Internet and high-speed data transfer by way of existing power lines. The electrical wiring ordinarily used to transmit electrical power to individual homes and businesses, can also be used to transmit high-speed data.

PLTsolutions has developed and owns proprietary technologies that are designed to overcome any existing infrastructure limitations. This makes PLT economically viable as the prime broadband channel for homes and offices.

This technology is also designed to enable electric utilities and power companies to create a basket of utility products that will add value to utility operational services, such as load balancing and automatic meter reading.

The idea of using electric power-lines to transmit multi-media telecommunications is revolutionary.

On July 11, 2000 Ambient Corporation announced the launch of a joint pilot program with Sumitomo Electric Industries , Japan's largest manufacturer of electric wire and cable. The prime objective of the program is to study the feasibility of harnessing PLTsolutions's proprietary technology to the Japanese market.
