) Technologies for Homeland Defense and Law Enforcement as well as the Conference on Unattended Ground Sensor Technologies and Applications.

Both Conferences were part of the SPIE's 2003 Aerosense Symposium on Technologies and Systems for Defense and Security -- the largest international conference for sensor technology.

This event was held on April 21-25, 2003, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. Approximately 5,000 attendees participated from around the globe, including the U.S. DOD (1) (Dial On Demand) A feature that allows a device to automatically dial a telephone number. There was a high level of interest in Ambient's unique energy management technology, which can power remote sensing systems for periods in excess of 20 years with no batteries and virtually no maintenance. Ambient's energy management platform can support a wide variety of Military and Homeland Defense applications, including border and perimeter security, wildfire detection and suppression, detection of enemy troop movements and early warning of bio/chemical terrorism attacks.

This international Symposium provides Ambient significant exposure to government and industry decision-makers internationally. For more information on this Conference, visit the SPIE's Web site www.spie.org.
