Ambicom's new AMB8010 Power Saver(TM) Ethernet PC Card for Windows CE has a list price of $129. It makes the battery last up to seven times longer than certain Novell NE2000-compatible Ethernet PC cards by taking advantage of special low-power consumption features designed for handheld PCs that use Windows CE 2.x. These energy conservation features let users access Ethernet LANs for high-speed file sharing, e-mail, and web browsing without sacrificing their computer's battery life. The AMB8010 draws only 39 mA (milliamps) from the handheld PC compared to as much as 300mA from other Ethernet PC Cards.
