AmberPoint Management Foundation extracted information from the Web services traffic between participating software vendors. For example, the AmberPoint dashboard showed real-time information on the total and average dollar amounts of all orders placed in the demonstration. The system also tracked business volume broken down by individual vendor.

Additionally, AmberPoint was able to monitor the overall health of the demonstration, showing system availability, throughput, and performance.

Seamless Integration

Each of the participating vendors developed their end-points independently and without regard to the AmberPoint management system. AmberPoint was immediately able to extract detailed information from the running system without requiring coding or system changes to the vendors' Web services.

"The live demonstration showcases the viability of cross-platform Web services integration. AmberPoint integrated seamlessly into our heterogeneous environment, providing real-time insight into the entire system without requiring any of the participants to change their Web services."

"Organizations require standards-based products that interoperate across complex, federated systems in order to realize the full potential of Web services," said John Hubinger, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
