Ambeo Readies Itself for Emerging eBusiness Market; Names New CFO, VP Internet Services, and Director of North American Sales.

Ambeo (formerly Pine Cone Systems), a leading provider of eBusiness performance management services and products, today announced it has appointed Brian Williams to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Dennis McCann, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Williams came from an entrepreneurial environment, first as CFO of a startup medical device company and most recently assisting a variety of entrepreneurs with startup ventures. Prior to that, Williams spent 11 years with Baxter Healthcare Corporation in a variety of financial roles, including several years as Vice President of Finance of an international joint venture headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. As a CPA, he has also held various public accounting positions at Ernst & Young.

Ed Skibbe has been appointed VP of Marketing and Internet Services, reporting to McCann. Skibbe joined Ambeo in 1998 from Sybase, where he was responsible for marketing middleware products. Prior to Sybase, Skibbe held various product management, product marketing, and R&D positions with Pentax and AT&T Bell Labs. Skibbe brings over 20 years of high-tech experience to Ambeo. Currently, he is responsible for driving the company's new eServices offering to market.

Karen Nicosia has been named Director, North American Sales, also reporting to McCann. Nicosia joined Ambeo from Ardent Software (now Informix), where she was responsible for Midwest Sales for the past 7 years. Prior to Ardent, Nicosia held high-tech sales and support positions at Prism Solutions, Bachman Information Systems, and FMC Corporation. Nicosia brings over 15 years of high-tech sales and support experience, and will be responsible for driving revenue for the North American Sales Force.
