Amazing cinema.


Amazing Grace "Amazing Grace" is a well-known Christian hymn. The words were written late in 1772 by Englishman John Newton. They first appeared in print in Newton's Olney Hymns, 1779 that he worked on with William Cowper. , a sweeping historical drama from Samuel Goldwyn Films, is one of the first explicitly Christian films of 2007. It is based on the real-life story of William Wilberforce William Wilberforce (24 August 1759–29 July 1833) was an English politician, Member of Parliament for Yorkshire (1784–1812), a philanthropist, and evangelical Christian who, as a leading abolitionist headed the parliamentary campaign against the British slave trade, , who led the fight to end slavery in 18th-century England. The 25-year-old Wilberforce, inspired by the ex-slave trader John Newton For other persons of the same name, see John Newton (disambiguation).

John Newton (July 24, 1725 – December 21, 1807) was an Anglican clergyman who had, at one time, been a slaveship master. He is best known as the author of the hymn Amazing Grace.
