Amax CEO Resigns Effective 13 November 2008.


Board of Directors Working with Senior Management during Transition Period

HONG KONG Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  -- Amax Entertainment Holdings Limited (HKSE HKSE Hong Kong Stock Exchange : 0959) ("Amax" or "the Company") announced today that Ted Chan has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer effective 13 November November: see month.  2008 to pursue a new career opportunity in Macau. The Company's Board of Directors is engaged in a search for a successor. In the interim, the Board of Directors under the direction of Chairman, Brian Cheung, is working with Amax senior management, including Chief Financial Officer, Ken Chan, to ensure the Company's continued leadership in its gaming promotion operations.
