The North American Football League
 (NAFL) to advance its charitable activities.

"It's a natural fit," said NAFL Commissioner J.T. Turner, himself a former NFL player (S, Vikings and Chargers 1978-87). "The NAFL depends on grass-roots support for its survival and, although the NFL Alumni is a national organization, it delivers its fundraising and service activities through local chapters. By working together, we're contributing to and enhancing the communities we live and play in."

NAFL members will be allowed to join the NFL Alumni as Associate Members and assist chapters with fundraising efforts and the development of "youth through sports, and sports through youth." Although no formal joint programs have been planned, the NFL Alumni and NAFL may create dedicated charitable initiatives in the future.

The NFL Alumni Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) charity composed of former NFL players and associate members who work voluntarily to raise funds for youth-oriented causes. The NFL Alumni advances its motto of Caring for Kids from its national headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and an additional 30 chapters across the country. The NAFL is a self-sustaining adult amateur football league composed of more than 5,000 amateur football players. The NAFL season is composed of a 10-week regular season followed by a five-week playoff play·off also play-off
