Amanda, 34, experienced complications during the birth of her younger son Setanta last year. Doctors decided an emergency Csection was necessary but the pair caught the infection after. The former Miss Ireland said: "I had got sick and I had a high temperature and the baby had got a high temperature and then there were infections. "Afterwards I got sewn up and then the baby was in intensive care for a couple of days. "When I got the infection I thought it was actually MRSA MRSA Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. See MARSA. . I got such a scare." Amanda, who also has a 22-month-old son Edward, added she is now terrified at the thought of having more kids. She said:" When I think back on it, oh my God, it scares me." |
