Running Windows or Linux, the IXS shares disk storage, server management, user administration with its iSeries/i5 host. .NET, Inc. reported that they had established a base in six cities in Southern China, Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  and Taiwan and are selling fax and voice services. Now AmTec is moving these Internet related services to the rest of China to take advantage of this rapidly growing business sector. Chinese fax over the Internet was about 15-16 million minutes last year and is projected to triple every year to around 900 million minutes in 2002.
