For AmSouth consumer and small business loan customers in the impacted areas, an automatic payment deferral will be processed for: --Installment and revolving loans --Lines of credit --Home Equity Loans --Small business loans and lines --AmSouth credit cards For residential mortgage loans, customers are asked to contact 1-800-AmSouth in order to discuss possible payment extension options. Customers who choose to make their scheduled payments will have those payments applied in normal fashion. The bank is also making its AmSouth Lifeline Line of Credit (LOC LOC - lines of code ), a $10,000 unsecured line of credit, available to qualified customers severely impacted by the hurricane. The AmSouth Lifeline LOC will allow payments of interest- only for the first year and can assist customers with temporary cash needs. Customers needing the AmSouth Lifeline can call 888-In A Snap (888-462-7627) Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm, Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm. AmSouth credit card customers in the areas deemed a natural disaster area by FEMA will also automatically receive a 60-day payment holiday. Credit card customers should contact (800) 362-6299 for consumer cards and (800) 892-3219 for business cards to request emergency line increases, alternative payment arrangements, overrides and other services. Calls from credit card customers in the natural disaster area will be given priority handling. In all cases, interest on accounts will continue to accrue and payments will be applied in the normal fashion.
