AmSouth Bank Gives Away Cleanup Kits; Kits Will Encourage Safety as Residents Re-Enter Hurricane Damaged Areas.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Displaced residents of Louisiana, who are returning to the New Orleans area to assess their personal property damage from the hurricane and to begin cleanup, might want to stop by designated AmSouth branches in Baton Rouge, Hammond and New Orleans beginning Friday and pick up an "AmSouth Cleanup Kit." The kits contain some basic safety items:

--A dust mask

--A pair of latex rubber gloves

--A bottle of hand sanitizer lotion

--Insect repellent

--A large trash bag

"Now that residents are being allowed back into the city, AmSouth Bank wants to play a part in the cleanup efforts, and we hope that by providing these kits, people will be a little more protected when they go into the city," said Baton Rouge City President Leonard Wyatt. "One of our company's six basic values is 'Do More Than Is Expected,' and we want the residents of Baton Rouge and New Orleans to know that we live by these values every day."

The kits will be limited to one per person, and will be available at designated branches, beginning when the branches open at 9:00am, until supplies last.
