AmCham names Larry D. Rubin as new CEO/executive vice president.

Prior to assuming his new responsibilities as chief executive officer (CEO) & executive vice president of AMERICAN CHAMBER/MEXICO, Larry David Rubin was the CEO of Garcoa Labs de Mexico, a major supplier of personal care products to the largest retailers in Mexico and the United States. Prior to that, Larry was managing director of U.S.Air, during which time he was responsible for the airline's strong growth in the Mexican market. Larry began his airline career as a baggage and ticket counter agent at Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport.

His professional career began as a sales distributor for Amway Corporation, one of the world's largest direct marketing consumer goods companies. At Amway, Larry quickly rose to leadership positions within sales and created a 1,000-person sales distributor network.

Larry is not new to AMCHAM. He has held positions of importance throughout his more than seven years of active involvement with the Chamber. Larry served as vice president of the Board of Directors and was most recently the chairman of the Chamber's Membership Committee. He also was elected twice to serve on the Vigilance Committee.

Elsewhere, Larry also served on the Board of the influential Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin) in Mexico. He was elected twice as President & Chairman of The American Society, a non-profit umbrella organization of the American community. He has been a Rotary member since 1997.
