This compilation of articles on recent Alzheimer's disease concentrates of pathology, diagnosis and care giving. Many of the authors mention that effective treatment still eludes us. However, the progression of the disease seems to be mitigated somewhat by sympathetic human interaction. The importance of care givers who are not overworked and stressed themselves is emphasized. Several articles study the various forms of dementia dementia (dĭmĕn`shə) [Lat.,=being out of the mind], progressive deterioration of intellectual faculties resulting in apathy, confusion, and stupor. In the 17th cent.  affecting different parts of the brain and how to distinguish them. There are also studies of early-onset Alzheimer's and how this differs in diminution Taking away; reduction; lessening; incompleteness.

The term diminution is used in law to signify that a record submitted by an inferior court to a superior court for review is not complete or not fully certified.
