Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota and North Dakota to Host Annual Conference for Families and Caregivers; Presentations by Nationally Recognized Alzheimer's Care Experts Highlight Event.What ---- "Navigating the Currents of Memory Loss" Who --- The Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota and North Dakota is hosting this annual conference for families and professionals who are caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss. Why --- Attendees will learn to recognize the changes that occur throughout the disease process, and to understand and address issues throughout the continuum of the disease. A Gallup poll commissioned by the Alzheimer's Association found that one in 10 individuals in the United States said they had a family member with Alzheimer's disease, and one in three knew someone with the disease. More than 4.5 million people in the United States today have Alzheimer's disease.
