Alyn Corp. Receives Production Order from Taylor Made Golf.

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1998--Alyn Corp. (Nasdaq: ALYN) Wednesday announced that it has received an initial production order from Taylor Made Golf Company for Boralyn(R) metalwoods.

The relationship between Alyn and Taylor Made began in September 1996 with the signing of a Sale of Goods and Exclusive License Agreement between the two companies. While this agreement has expired, the development activity conducted by both companies since September 1996 has led to the initial Taylor Made metalwood production order.

Changing market conditions and more extensive design efforts, utilizing the proprietary advantages of Boralyn(R), led to a longer development program than initially planned. Key terms of the original agreement, such as exclusivity and minimum purchase requirements, are no longer in effect.

Alyn has agreed to maintain certain terms of the original agreement, such as rights of the parties to designs and assurances to maintain sufficient production capacity of Boralyn(R) to support future volume requirements.

Alyn is also developing prototype metalwoods, irons and putter programs with several distinguished golf club companies. Initial orders for prototype products have been received with scheduled deliveries by September 1998. It is the company's expectation that these prototype products will result in additional production orders later this year.
