Alydaar Software to appear on new technology TV series, World Business Review with Caspar Weinberger.CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 1996--ALYDAAR SOFTWARE CORPORATION (OTC BB:ALYD), announced today that is has been selected to appear on World Business Review, a new weekly technology television series hosted by Caspar Weinberger, former Secretary of Defense for President Reagan. Robert Gruder, Alydaar's Chairman will be joining other CEOs on a panel to discuss how technology is solving specific industry problems, enabling viewers to hear about new business solutions directly from its leaders. World Business Review is produced by Multi-Media Productions USA. Adam Dubner, Coordinating Producer of World Business Review, said "Alydaar was selected to appear on the show because of its technological solutions to the Year 2000 problem See Y2K problem.. It is currently implementing these solutions to save corporations from the possibility of experiencing a `Black Monday' for their computer systems during the upcoming millennium change." The theme of the segment for the May 17th taping is New Challenges in Computer Integration and Systems Management. Mr. Weinberger said, "World Business Review is an exciting new forum for examining new technologies, the companies behind them, and their impact on the marketplace. David Hazinski, co-host and former director of NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and current Associate Professor of Telecommunications at the University of Georgia, said, We'll hear from the visionary leaders who are shaping technology's future." As the year 2000 approaches, there is increasing urgency to correct all dates where the year has been stored as only two digits, for example 96 for 1996. Computer system components that store the year within a date as a two-digit number are unable to properly process transactions with dates beyond 1999. This problem can be especially difficult on large-scale computer systems where several different software languages and hundreds of software programs may be operating at the same time. Alydaar has developed software to diagnose and synthetically re-engineer programs and incorporate multiple solutions to correct the Year 2000 problem, which represents a $300 to $600 billion dilemma for the corporate and government community. Alydaar Software has developed a methodology to change the way companies approach their legacy system reengineering requirements. Alydaar's SmartCode(TM) technology can examine and understand an entire software system and identify all impacted and nonimpacted data characteristics. SmartCode then synthetically reengineers software by incorporating multiple solutions to correct Year 2000 issues, while also maintaining code functionality. SmartCode can process any dialect of multi-language source code, across any platform. "Alydaar's SmartCode technology is the only software which is language and platform independent and automated," stated Mr. Gruder. In addition to Public Television and National Public Radio distribution, World Business Review will be hosting an interactive Web side on the Internet (http://www.wbrtv.com) with featured companies technologies. The 26-part series will also be promoted in 100,000 program guides mailed to corporate and industry leaders and more than 100,000 videotapes of the hour-long show direct mailed to designated industry markets. Individual videotapes will also be available to order by a toll-free telephone number beginning in June, 1996. CONTACT: Alydaar Software Corp. Robert F.
