Always a parking spot for moms- to- be.

Getting around during their last stage of pregnancy is quite a job for some mothers-to-be. The weight gain alone can make walking from the car to the grocery store something of a chore. To help ease this rather uncomfortable time, California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  Assemblyman as·sem·bly·man

allows pregnant women to apply for temporary disabled parking placards if they have conditions that limit their mobility and a note from their doctor. The proposed law would still require a note from a doctor, but only to prove the woman has entered her final trimester.

Although it might sound like a great idea, the bill has generated quite a bit of controversy. Disabled motorists worry about the influx of pregnant women parking in spots reserved for people with physical disabilities. And women's groups would rather not have pregnancy classified as a disability. Many doctors believe that exercise is good for most pregnant women and the short walk to and from their car is more beneficial than harmful.
