Aluminum melting furnace.
The GC-Series Non-Crucible crucible /cru·ci·ble/ (kroo´si-b'l) a vessel for melting refractory substances. furnace manufactured by Thermtronix Corp. is designed for continuous aluminum melting operations as a durable refractory lined furnace that does not use crucibles. Metal is charged onto a dry hearth charging chamber, avoiding the issue of operators placing cold, wet or moisture bearing charge materials into a molten bath of aluminum. Exhaust energy is captured to preheat and melt the new charge, and the slag, dross and residuals from the melt are left on the dry hearth, where they can be removed easily.--Thermtronix Corp.
