Aluminum flake pigment, paint composition.


Patent No. U.S. 7,163,580 B2

Toyo Aluminum Kabushiki Kaisha has received a patent for a manufacturing method of an aluminum flake pigment, having an average thickness in the range of 0.025 [micro]m and 0.08 [micro]m, and an average particle diameter in the range of 8 [micro]m to 30 [micro]m, the manufacturing method is comprised of a first step of preparing aluminum powder having an average particle diameter in the range of 1 [micro]m to 10 [micro]m by an atomization method, and a second step of grinding the aluminum powder in an organic solvent, wherein the second step is performed using a grinding medium having a diameter in the range of 0.3 mm to 4 mm.
