Aluminium firm shows its mettle as security door opens new route to success.


A FAMILY firm that was set up in the wake of the demise of Greenberg Glass has developed a security system to stop UPVC UPVC unplasticized polyvinyl chloride  doors from being kicked in.

Eros Aluminium Systems, based at Knowsley Industrial Park North, started in August last year and soon took on some of the unfinished contracts after Greenberg collapsed.

At the same time, Eros Aluminium's managing director, Brian Roe, was devising its Easi Door system. S

He said: "A UPVC manufacturer told me there was a major problem in the industry of burglars kicking the panel of the door in.

"We built a version, which we have demonstrated to Merseyside Police Merseyside Police is the Home Office police force responsible for policing Merseyside in North West England.

The force area is 647 square kilometres with a population of around 1.5 million. At present the force has 4,466 police officers plus over 2,000 police staff.

The Easi Door system can be included into a new door or an existing door can be upgraded.
