, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1994--Alumax Mill Products, Inc., Hinsdale, Illinois Hinsdale is an affluent Chicago suburb located in Cook County and DuPage County in the U.S. state of Illinois. The population was 17,349 at the 2000 census. The town's ZIP code is 60521. , has announced that prices for all common alloy alloy (ăl`oi, əloi`) [O. Fr.,=combine], substance with metallic properties that consists of a metal fused with one or more metals or nonmetals.  aluminum sheet products are being increased from previous levels.

Alumax Mill Products indicated that common alloy sheet prices in the distributor and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  (original equipment manufacturer) markets are being increased by approximately five percent. Additionally, effective with orders as of December 5, 1994, and shipments on and after February 27, 1995, regardless of order entry date, prices for 3105 alloy OEM building product coil sheet are being increased to the following levels:

    gauge   .0300" - and heavier      alloy  3105 - $1.20/lb.
    gauge   .0215" - .0299"           alloy  3105 - $1.21/lb.
    gauge   .016"  - .0214"           alloy  3105 - $1.22/lb.
    gauge   .014"  - .0159"           alloy  3105 - $1.23/lb.

    Alumax Mill Products cited market conditions, including rising
raw materials costs and strong demand, and the need to maintain
reasonable margins as reasons for the price increases.
