Alumax Inc. announces election of Vice President.


NORCROSS, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1995-- Michael Vollkommer, controller of Alumax Inc., was elected a vice president of Alumax at a meeting yesterday of the Alumax board of directors.

Mr. Vollkommer is responsible for all financial reporting for the corporation. He came to Alumax from its former parent, AMAX Inc., which spun Alumax off as a public company prior to its merger with Cyprus Minerals Company in 1993. He had served as director of accounting of AMAX since 1992.

Before joining AMAX he was a senior manager with Coopers & Lybrand.
