Altus Explorations Inc. Announces Drilling Commences in Kansas.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2004

Altus Explorations Inc. (the "Company")(OTCBB:ATUX) is pleased to announce that the Elk County Kansas, East Arbuckle Prospect: Jordan Trust No. 1 Well was spud in on March 17, 2004. Surface casing has been set and drilling has reached approximately 1,500 ft. Several drill stem tests will be performed to test certain coal seams and favorable looking zones in route to the target Mississippian/Arbuckle formation at 2500+/- feet. This is the first of three test wells on this Prospect.
