Altus Explorations, Inc. Announces Update; Kansas Lake Creek Phase II Drilling Program.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Altus Explorations, Inc. (the "Company" or "Altus")(OTCBB:ATUX) announces an update on the status of the Southeast Kansas Phase II drilling program, and the results of the Lake Creek No. 4 well flow rate tests.

The drilling of the Lake Creek No. 5 well has been completed and casing is in the process of being set. Upon drilling completion of the No. 5 well, the drilling rig was moved to the Lake Creek No. 8 drilling location.

Flow rate tests on the Lake Creek No. 4 well have confirmed sustainable gross 8/8th daily natural gas production rate of approximately 175 Mcf per day. Production from the Lake Creek No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 wells previously announced, is continuing.

Altus' participation in the Lake Creek Prospect reserve development program is pursuant to the Second Amendment to its Lake Creek Prospect Farmout Agreement with Orbit Energy LLC, dated June 30, 2004 as amended on December 16, 2004 and January 19, 2005. The Amendments provide Altus' the right to participate in the continued drilling and development of Kansas acreage that is located outside the original Lake Creek Prospect Acreage.

Altus is a development stage oil and gas company primarily focused on developing its natural gas reserve holdings in Texas, and on its continuing participation in building its Kansas producing reserve base.
