Altus Explorations, Inc. Announces Progress of Kansas Development Program.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Altus Explorations, Inc. (the "Company" or "Altus") (OTCBB:ATUX) provides an update on its Lake Creek Prospect oil and gas reserve development program, and its participation in an additional Kansas lease acreage acquisition initiative.

In connection with Altus' participation in the Lake Creek Prospect development program, Altus announces that the drilling of the Lake Creek No. 8 well has reached total depth and that casing is in the process of being set. A work-over of the Lake Creek No. 5 well has also been completed with the successful perforations of additional pay zones. Tests of sustainable flow rates are being conducted on the No. 5 well. The Lake Creek No. 1 through No. 4 wells are continuing to produce commercial levels of production, as previously announced.

Additionally, Altus announces that it has elected to participate in additional lease acreage acquisition in Kansas, and to participate in the associated drilling and development of the acquired acreage. Altus is formalizing a joint development agreement with the operator, and expects that the commercial terms and conditions of the development agreement for Altus' participation in the prospect development program will be comparable to those provided for in its current Amended Lake Creek Farmout Agreement with Orbit Energy LLC. Altus will be responsible for funding its proportionate share of acquisition, drilling and development capital expenditures.
