Altus Explorations, Inc. Announces Initial Kansas Production, Amendment to Kansas Farmout Agreement and Phase II Participation.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Altus Explorations, Inc. (OTCBB:ATUX) (the "Company" or "Altus") reports that the Lake Creek No. 1 well has been completed, connected and commenced commercial production on January 18, 2005 with gross daily production levels of approximately 18-20 barrels crude oil and 100 Mcf natural gas production per day. Additionally, the Lake Creek No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 are in the process of being completed and are expected to be on-line for commercial production by mid February 2005.

Altus and Orbit Energy, LLC have executed on today's date the Second Amendment to their Lake Creek Prospect Farmout Agreement dated June 30, 2004, as amended on the 16th December 2004, to allow for Altus' continued participation in the drilling and development of Kansas acreage that is outside the original Lake Creek Prospect Acreage provided for in the Farmout Agreement. Pursuant to the Second Amendment, Altus has the right to participate in the continued drilling and development of additional Lake Creek wells with a working interest up to 25%, for which Altus is responsible for its proportionate share of capital expenditures attributable to its working interest in the wells.
