Altus Explorations, Inc. Announces Commencement of the Kansas Lake Creek Phase II Drilling and Development Program.OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- Altus Altus (ăl`təs), city (1990 pop. 21,910), seat of Jackson co., SW Okla.; inc. 1907. The city's agricultural products include cotton, wheat, sorghum, and cattle. There is light manufacturing. Altus Air Force Base, a large training facility, also contributes to the economy. Explorations, Inc. (the "Company" or "Altus") (OTCBB:ATUX) reports that the Lake Creek No. 4 well has been completed and associated production equipment has been installed. The well is currently undergoing flow tests. The Lake Creek No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 wells previously announced are continuing to produce. Altus also announces the commencement of the Kansas Phase II development program with the Lake Creek No. 5 scheduled to be drilled this week. Once the drilling of the Lake Creek No. 5 well is completed, the rig will be moved to the Lake Creek No. 8 well location. The Lake Creek No. 9 and No. 10 wells sites are currently scheduled to be drilled by the end of the 2nd quarter 2005. Altus' participation in the Lake Creek Prospect Phase II development program is pursuant to the Second Amendment to its Lake Creek Prospect Farmout Agreement with Orbit Energy LLC, dated June 30, 2004 as amended on December 16, 2004 and January 19, 2005. The Amendments provide Altus' the right to participate in the continued drilling and development of Kansas acreage that is located outside the original Lake Creek Prospect Acreage. Altus is a development stage oil and gas company primarily focused on developing its natural gas reserve holdings in Texas, and on its continuing participation in building its Kansas producing reserve base.
