Altus: experts in restoration projects.

Altus Metal & Marble [The Gottesman Organization] owned by Lina Gottesman, a certified woman business enterprise, has been restoring New York Buildings since 1989.

A specialist in ornamental metal, stone and wood restoration, some of Altus's projects are as follows:

* The ornamental metal [Bronze, Pewter and Steel] restoration at Temple Emanu-El, Fifth Avenue [done for Tishman Construction] "Some ornamental Bronze in the staircases had been hidden for decades before it was discovered during the restoration'

* The 7th Regiment Armory, Park Avenue was a very delicate conservation project done for The 7th Regiment Armory Conservancy and Tishman Construction. "The historic front entrance gates were gingerly conserved, removing all top debris and maintaining as much of the original century old patina as possible".

* Historic Wood restoration at Columbia University had been especially challenging. "We restored the 200 year old "King" chairs to include all the wood and upholstery seating--reusing all the original hardware. Altus is always looking for the next "special" historic project to participate in.
