:ALXI) announced, effective today, that the common shares of Altrex with be split on a 10:1 forward basis whereby 1 old share of Altrex will now be equivalent to 10 new shares.

Altrex will be issuing the additional share certificates to all shareholders of record at the close of business August 14, 2000 to evidence the new shares. The forward split was approved by the Altrex Board of Directors on August 7th, 2000.
