Altman Weil Publication currently produces ten major surveys annually focusing primarily on the economics and management of law firms. Surveys include the "Survey of Law Firm Economics," which provides economic performance data on private law firms in the U.S. Benchmark information in the study includes financial statement performance, billing rates, billable hours, compensation and leverage. The study, which has been published for 30 years, covered 285 law firms in 2006. The group also publishes the related "Small Law Firm Economic Survey," with similar information on that market segment. Other studies include the "Senior Leadership Survey for Law Firms" and the "Compensation Systems in Private Law Firms Survey, as well as surveys conducted in partnership with the International Paralegal Management Association (IPMA IPMA International Project Management Association IPMA International Public Management Association IPMA International Personnel Management Association IPMA International Primary Market Association (finance) ; Avondale Estates, GA) and on behalf of other membership associations within the legal industry. Altman Weil will become a part of ALM Research which produces ALM Research Online, a subscription database of legal market intelligence, as well as a number of syndicated survey reports, including the annual "Law Firm Business Development Survey," the "Global Law Firm Knowledge Management Survey" and the "Law Firm Outsourcing Survey."
