Altiris Extends Support for Channel Partners and Offers New Expanded Channel Program.

Altiris Altiris Inc. is a subsidiary of Symantec specializing in service-oriented management software which allows organizations to manage IT assets. They also provide software for web services, security, and systems management products. Altiris also increased the options for partners by adding a Certified See certification.  Partner Program to complement the established Business Partner Program and new Systems Integrator Program.

Altiris has an expanded team of experienced Channel Account Managers in several locations in the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. They are focused specifically on channel partner support and will facilitate onsite training, joint sales calls, partner events and other revenue-generating activities. Altiris Systems Integrators, Business Partners and Altiris Certified Partners will be eligible for market development funds MDF or Market Development funds are funds given by the sale or marketing department from a vendor to help a partner to sell its products or to market its brand. The new Altiris Certified Partner program is designed for regional VARs or partners. It requires a lower revenue commitment than the Business Partner Program or the Systems Integrator Program. Potential partners are required to register, pay for certification testing and have one Altiris Certified Engineer(TM) on staff, as well as trained sales professionals with the ability to demonstrate Altiris products and services.

Business Partners and Systems Integrators have all the benefits and requirements of the Certified Partners with these added incentives:

-- Additional access to Altiris sales and sales support personnel

-- Eligible for incentive of five percent of net revenues that

can be used toward additional product, services or collateral
