Alternative to knife gate valves for conveying lines.A new device for central materials conveying lines is said to ensure that branching lines to individual machine hoppers will not get clogged with blow-by resin resin, any of a class of amorphous solids or semisolids. The new LineClear Lateral from Novatec, Inc. in Baltimore is said to be an economical alternative to expensive knife-gate valves.
