, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 1997--Alternative Technology Resources Inc. (ATEK) Board Chairman Edward L. Lammerding, announced that at a meeting Dec. 31, 1996, the board appointed W. Robert Keen, chief executive officer.

George Van Derven will continue as the company's president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Lammerding stated, "The addition of Mr. Keen to our management, with his marketing skill and familiarity with financial markets, will strengthen our company and allow George Van Derven to concentrate upon the recruiting, training and administration of our growing programmer (1) A hardware device used to customize a programmable logic chip such as a PAL, GAL, EPROM, etc. See PROM programmer.
