Alternative Fuels and Fuel Cells Segment Added To DEFG's Distributed Energy Stock Index (DESI); Twelve New Companies Approved For Inclusion.


WASHINGTON -- The Index Committee of the Distributed Energy Stock Index (DESI, pronounced Deh-Zee like "Desi" Arnaz) approved the creation of a new segment focused on alternative fuels and fuel cells and the inclusion of 12 new companies into the DESI. With the new segment and companies, the DESI now has 6 market segments focused on the energy technology sector covering 38 publicly traded companies publicly traded company

A company whose shares of common stock are held by the public and are available for purchase by investors. The shares of publicly traded firms are bought and sold on the organized exchanges or in the over-the-counter market.

When the stock of a company is removed from a stock exchange.

Notes:
Reasons for delisting include violating regulations and/or failure to meet financial specifications set out by the stock exchange.
