The school system is managed by the Board of Education, headquartered in Towson. The Superintendent is Dr. Joe Hairston. have chosen to use the word
"academy" to describe their new offerings.
The fledgling programs are the Loch Raven Technological Academy for Environmental Science, Performing Arts and Visual Arts visual arts npl → artes fpl plásticas visual arts npl → arts mpl plastiques visual arts npl → ; the Halstead Academy of Mathematics, Science, Technology and the Visual Arts; and the Southwest Academy for Arts and Sciences.
