Altera Names John Daane President and Chief Executive Officer.

Altera Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR) today announced that John Daane will become President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 30. Mr. Daane will replace Rodney Smith, who announced his intention to retire late last year. Mr. Smith will remain the Chairman of Altera's Board of Directors.
