Altera Appoints Lance Lissner Senior Vice President.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2000

Altera Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR) announced that Lance Lissner has been promoted to Senior Vice President Business Development. He will report to Rodney Smith, President and CEO.

Mr. Lissner joined Altera in 1998 after a 25-year career at Measurex Corporation where he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development after serving in a variety of roles in sales, marketing and development engineering. He had been Altera's Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development until early this year when his responsibilities shifted exclusively to business development.

Mr. Lissner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
