AUSTIN, Texas & COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Integration of DeviceAuthority Suite and Enterprise Configuration Manager (ECM) to Provide Centralized Management of Desktop, Server and Network Device Configurations

AlterPoint, Inc. and Configuresoft, industry leaders in network and systems configuration management, today announced a strategic technology and business alliance to deliver an integrated solution for end-to-end configuration management of desktops, mobile systems, servers, and network devices. The combination of AlterPoint's DeviceAuthority Suite(TM) and Configuresoft's Enterprise Configuration Manager (ECM) will enable enterprises to maintain centralized control over network device and system configurations for increased network security and availability. Siemens Business Services, which provides IT systems integration, management, and outsourcing services in 44 countries and had sales of $6.1 billion in fiscal 2003, is investing in the AlterPoint-ECM solution.

Working together, DeviceAuthority Suite and ECM will automate the assessment, management and auditing of configurations on network devices and systems across large enterprise networks. These capabilities will reduce the cost and complexity of managing distributed IT infrastructures by providing an end-to-end view of configurations that spans hardware, operating systems and software applications. IT departments will also be able to tighten security and increase application availability by exposing interdependencies between network devices and the systems and applications for which they provide connectivity.

Under terms of the strategic alliance, AlterPoint and Configuresoft will conduct joint product integration, marketing and sales of DeviceAuthority Suite - ECM solutions. Both companies will train sales and support staff on their respective products to provide seamless customer service.
